Q: When is the deadline for signing up for this event?

A: Please ensure that online registration and an electronic payment of $15/pax are completed by the 26th of January.

 

Q: What should I bring for the event?

A: You are highly encouraged to bring your laptop or an almanac to assist in your research. Please ensure to have a water bottle with you at all times throughout the conference. A goodie bag and food will be provided.

 

Q: Is this event similar to SLC held by HCIS?
A: No, our goal is to provide a voice for students in education policy-making. By creating a network of student leaders across Singapore, future student-led projects will be incrementally feasible.

 

Q: What should I prepare beforehand?
A: To be able to make well-informed decisions, having read the Research Pack provided on the website will be tantamount in building up your prior knowledge in terms of the subject matter which we will be dealing with. Your institution should draft a Position Paper (a template is provided on the website) to make your argument constructive and convincing to other delegates during the conference.

 

Q: My institution has already registered me as a delegate, paying the full amount electronically. However, I am unable to attend. Am I able to request a refund before the event commences?

A: Unfortunately, refunds are not available at the current moment as payment is made by electronic transfer, in which case all payments are final.

Q: Can a delegation submit more than one proposition paper?

A: Although we appreciate your enthusiasm, the way the conference is structured only allows for a student to debate a single topic.
